What We Do ?!
Wood-Framed Structures
Wood-framed structures are structures that primary structural elements are engineered woods. Our specialty in wood-framed structure design includes but not limited to:
- Residential Houses
- Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)
- Decks and Balconies
Earth Retention Systems
Earth retention systems are used to temporarily or permanently support the soil for underground construction such as basements, jacking pits, and METRO stations, etc. STRUCTICA, Inc. proudly provides design services for different types of earth retention systems such as:
- Cantilever Retaining Walls
- Struts and Walers
- Tiebacks
- Soil Nails
- Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE)
Deep and Shallow Foundations
Shallow foundations can be constructed when the soil at the shallow depth can provide enough bearing capacity or support.
When the soil at shallow depth cannot provide enough support, deep foundations can be used. In this system, the load from the surface is transferred to deep soil layers (i.e., bedrock) where enough capacity is available.
We offer design of different type of shallow and deep foundations such as:
- Spread Footings,
- Mat Foundations
- Strip Footings
- Helical Piers
- Push Piers
- Large Diameter CIDH
- Micro-Piles
Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is useful in complex conditions where conventional methods such limit equilibrium analysis lack enough accuracy. These conditions include, but not limited to:
- Complicated site condition or stratigraphy
- Deflection of the new structure
- Settlement of surrounding structures such as building due to new construction.
We use the most current software in FEA such as PLAXIS to accurately model and evaluate the behavior of structures.
